... seriously though, overall I agree with you. In my line of work the adverse memory side-effects one encounters while being high (which as far as I know are scientifically proven) make it an interference to the quality of my work goals. I may be able to "pass" my classes or do my job okay... but in my opinion its not fair to myself to disable my memory in school all the time, even if its just a little bit. And its not fair to my future employer if I smoke weed on my way to work and on my lunch break every day. Statistically speaking, the quality of my work will be effected.

Now if memory is like zero part of someone's workday, I don't see how being high would hurt them everyday. But then again, I think if you have a job in which you aren't using your memory, you're probably not trying very hard to "excel" at your job... maybe you're just barely getting by. And I believe we should all strive for excellence in what we do. That's just my beleif.

Don't get me wrong... there are times that weed has helped me achieve excellence in my life... through creative thinking and problem solving especially. I don't think its wrong to work while high once in a while. But I think doing it all day every day is not natural and is not how we are meant to function through life. ... To each his own though...
