i think they are just swollen because she is about mature. i read somewhere that right at the end the plant might go into a mode of trying a last chance effort to get pollinated and produces new flowers. try the advanced area. there is a similar question there.

She's getting ready to harvest soon I think, but today I check her out and I noticed all these new little ball/teardrop shaped objects showing up on the buds. Now, this plant has shown no signs of hermie in the past, and I've not seen any of those "bananas" so I hope she's not turning hermie now... But I don't know what it is I'm looking at here.
