Tom-

1. Whatever begins to exist has a cause of its
existence.
2. The universe began to exist.
You're a Christian, or something similar, so, I'll disprove your theory of a Single God creating the universe.

Since you think God created the universe, God must've existed beforehand in order to create it, because according to the Bible, he did (and it wouldn't make sense without him). Since God exists, something must've caused his existence, therefore, God must've been made by something that was around before him (possibly in a different dimension, universe, etc.). Therefore, the theory of One True God being the highest power is disproved because something must've caused his existence. Whatever created God had to exist as well, so, we go up and up and up until we pass out from typing "Whatever created the creator of the Creator of the Creator of the Creator ... of God had to exist, so something must've been around to create him."

Personally, I believe most of the Christian views of treating others and such, and think the Bible is a great book for teaching morals (the New Testament anyway, the old testament God is very asshole-ish), but my afterlife beliefs are more Buddhist than any other mainstream religion.

I forget what this topic was about...
