What is THE most potent strain in existence?
white rhino is killer but its not that new on the market...there have to been some newer strains on the scene with a greater potency...i justed grabbed some great white shark w/ 14% tch...Rhino is between 11-12%...and there are plenty of strains stronger than the shark...greenhouse seeds has some potent plants...they have WW and WR but some stronger strains also like the Doctor, GWS, The Church, etc. Rhino is strong and dependable but White Russian among many other strains has a higher thc%

High: powerfully sedative.
Smell: rich chocolate flavor
They also have NL#9 which is a wonderful strain Ive had the pleasure of tasting myself and it is indeed lemony:
"After years of heartfelt requests for a Northern Lights strain, Sagarmatha has engineered a superior version of the NL legend. The flowering time is acceptable and fat chunky nugs can be expected. NL#9 delivers the finest qualities expected from that variety: a short plant with a voracious stone and minimal smell. Fantastic for gardens where smell is an unfavorable factor. Also fine for persons who desire a heavy, lethargic stone.
For a great connection, dial NL#9.
Type: Indica - Sativa, indoor
Vegetate until: 4 - 7 internodes.
Flower for: 55 days
Average height: 0.5 - 0.75 meters
Yield: 300 - 325 grams / m² (dried, indoor)
High: relaxing and sociable
Taste: lemony"
Also another favorite of mine is Matanuska Mist:
"Type: Indica-sativa, indoor and outdoor
Start vegetate: 1-2 weeks after roots show
Flowering time: 60 days
Average height: 1-1.5 metres
Yield: 300-325 grams/m2 (dried, indoor)
This fortuitous union of <i>Grey Area</i>'s Grey Mist, and Matanuska Tundra produces a compact, strong plant. The buds are impressively thick while allowing air to circulate around the flowers. The buds are frosted with THC crystals. The stone is similar to that of Matanuska Tundra, combined with the gentle, cerebral high of the Grey Mist."
As you can tell Im a huge fan of plants hailing from the Matanuska region as I lived very close to it for the better part of a decade. Like previously stated before the most powerful, and usually the best tasting, bud comes from Alaska. Canada and NoCal are just about the same, but soil composition, nitrogen content, precipitation influx due to a valley and then a mountainous bowl surrounding it, extreme lighting conditions, and generations of serenity and lack of manipulation by man due to location and climate have made Alaska the best place in the world for marijuana. I love Amsterdam and was lucky enough to make it there during parts of the Cannibis Cup in 99 and there are extremely potent strains there from all over the world. But in my opinion the best have always come from Northern Cali, Canada, and especially Alaska.
However, there are growers everywhere that grow some incredibly powerfully potent herb that never get tested for content or at least never publish it, and the most potent strain ever may lay in one of those growrooms.
To answer the original post I have heard a number of times throughout my life that MTF had been tested at around 32% at some point. Ill try and find some sources and post them up.

Grazi, is the soil in that valley quite acidic?
The MTF-derived strain I've got my little paws on is the version being grown by oldtimers down the Kenai, gifted to me by Yeag. It certainly DOES seem to tolerate soil conditions under which the other plants in my garden suffer. It also has such short internodes that cloning it is a bit of a challenge, as it has to be coaxed a bit into stretching, but then roots quickly and takes off fast.
I'd like to add another locale to your list of 'places to watch'... Vermont's Connecticut river valley, with its rich fertile soil and beautiful summertime climate, and growers who are no slouches when it comes to producing stellar weed. And now with the new med laws...

The strongest strain so far is the White Russian strain that was grown in a lab and showed to have around 22-23% THC.
