can anyone help?
hey guys
sometime in the next year i'd like to travel to spain to work. i figure it'd be easiest to work either for an american corporation or to teach english to spanish youngsters. my primary goal is to learn the language, as i've taken it for 7 years in high school and throughout college, but i want to spend a period of time in the country to really get it. does anyone know how i'd go about getting a job over there? i've heard it's impossible for an american to travel there to work....but i feel like there must be some way. anyone with experience? thanks in advance for any adviceHappy_Chronikkuh Reviewed by Happy_Chronikkuh on . can anyone help? hey guys sometime in the next year i'd like to travel to spain to work. i figure it'd be easiest to work either for an american corporation or to teach english to spanish youngsters. my primary goal is to learn the language, as i've taken it for 7 years in high school and throughout college, but i want to spend a period of time in the country to really get it. does anyone know how i'd go about getting a job over there? i've heard it's impossible for an american to travel there to Rating: 5

You would have better luck in Central America as far as learning Spanish and working.
Working in Europe is going to be tough if you are not a citizen. Get hired and employed by an American company in Spain might work. But generally you are SOL.
There is a Magazine you might want to check out. It is called Transitions Abroad. It comes out every other month.
Do you have a degree yet?
Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama and several other Central and South American countries that speak Spanish would be easier to get a job teaching kids.
However there might be volunteer opportunities in Spain.
If you have questions about Central America I can help.
