I had a friend who's parents had a vacation house on the California/Nevada state line, basically in the desert. We went up one time and he tells me to come in the garage to see something freaky. Holy crap, there were like 50 or more black widows. And yes, they were black widows. Fucking webs everywhere. Just thinking about it sends a chill up my spine. Soemthing about a black widow is just creepier than other spiders. That fat shiny black body with those skiny little legs.

We don't have any black widows in our house(that I've ever found) but this time of year our place is spider central. I'll kill 1-2 a day, once I found 3 in less than 5 minutes, usually just walking across the ceiling. My favorite way to get them is to use the vacuum cleaner to suck them off the ceiling. The worse is when you use a magazine or something to try and squish 'em then they fall down on you.
