Tin foil all you want. While your probably right that they (hopefully) don't have either the technology or the warewithall at this point, these programs need to be stopped before they evolve further. The very idea of large scale data mining and phone tapping runs counter to this countries single most important document, the Constitution. Better to stop it now before we come to regret it later. I can imagine some hacker sitting at his computer and he realises the F.B.I are looking through his P.C so he sends a nice juicy virus to crash their servers...the last thing you see on the f.b.i computers before the computers crash is a picture of two cops outside a house along with a big caption "YoU needz a warrant LOL!"
