Pharmaceutical companies want you to bend over and take it
Today I got my perscription for Imitrex, a pill that is supposed to stop migraine headaches, refilled. When the lady told me the total I had to pay I gasped. It was $82.65 for 20 pills. Every other time I bought the pills I only had to pay $10-20. I told the lady it seemed a bit higher than usuall and she did some things on her computer but came back and told me that's just what the price was. Then she told me something that shocked/;boiled my blood. The retail price of those pills (what I would have to pay without insurence) was $400!
$400 for 20 pills that don't even really do anything to me. This is robbery. It makes me sick at how much money these pharmaceutical companies charge for these drugs they tell us we need. Its a big fucking conspiracy and I get more and more sick of it every day that these scumbags jack up the prices for this bullshit medicine.
I just felt like getting that frustration off my chest. Now its time for me to take a toke of my real medicine that cost me only a small fraction of that imitrex garbage.40oz Reviewed by 40oz on . During chemotherapy, I had 11 different medicines I was suppose to take, but 1 in particular that was to help prevent Nausea.
Retail price without insurance for this pill called Zofran. $100 per pill
Now.
1/4 OZ of good quality Marijuana $100.
You decide.

Yeah it's BS....My pills are pretty expensive even with some pretty good insurance. Although my xanax only cost 5$ for 30pills.

This is exactly the reason marijuana is still illegal. If it were legal, people could grow their own medication and the FDA wouldn't be able to rip people off.

Not to mention the advertising involved they could've went without to cut down costs.
But really, if you have a serious disease, and you have no insurance, you are essentially dead, out on the street like a stray dog. That's the saddest part of all.

The reason your xanax are so cheap is because when a pharma company comes out with a new product such as Immitrex, they hold a patent for I think 5-7 years. After this time runs out other smaller companies such as watson labs can get the formula and make cheaper pills. So while pills are under the protection, they try to get as much money as possible before they have to reveal the formula. Phizer is about to lose the viagra patent, and merc is going to lose there cholestrol one.. can't think of the name right now.
