My First Outdoor Grow Log

Hey everyone. This is my first post on the board as well as my first grow.

I've wanted to grow since i was a teenager, and now circumstances allow it.

I'm grown and have my own place, a yard, my medical card, and an awesome landlord. So let's get growing.

I've been doing my reading and research for close to a year so I think I'm ready.

I'm starting with two snowcap clones, purchased at one of the 300+ dispensaries in the city. I spent close to an hour choosing them, looking for ones with signs of branching, healthy tops, good color, and strong rooting.

I planted them in six inch pots with organic potting mix. I decided to skip the recommended two week inside to outside easing process, and just potted them outside.

I put them on the northern face of my house so they aren't receiving any direct sunlight yet, but they're outside and loving all the light.

My plan is to grow them up in the pots for a month or so, then plant them in their permanent home in the yard. I've already selected and am preparing the site.

Advice and suggestions are welcome, as I'm keeping this log as a way to get advice from you experienced growers in case I run into any problems.

i would put them in direct sunlight to get alot of veg. growth.. also, do you know if clones become the same size as seed plants??....good luck on your grow

Well they get some light in the late afternoon.

after a few days i'll put them in all day sun.

as far as clones are concerned as opposed to seed plants; i know clones dont exhibit as much vigorous growth when they're young like plants from seed do.

but it also depends on how you prune and a bunch of other factors.

i'm pretty sure if care is taken and they're grown right, they can be just as successful as plants grown from seed...

giving similiar veg time a clone should do just as well as one from seed and get about the same size.

Do you live in California? If you do, then you're one lucky bastard. I'd love to get a medical card so I could get away with growing marijuana. I actually suffer from insomnia big time. If medical marijuana became legal in New York, then I'm sure I'd be able to get a medical card to allow for me to have marijuana. I usually smoke marijuana every night before I go to bed and I end up sleeping like a baby. Marijuana offers many medicinal uses, it's amazing. Insomnia is one condition it treats amongst many others of course. Good luck and happy growing!

Yeah i live in Los Angeles. The medical system is working here. A few kinks here and there with the feds, but it runs pretty smoothly otherwise.

I can't wait to get my med card for insomnia and for depression.
San fran + med card + lsd + crazy music + grow room = life is good.

Clones are lookin good, can't wait to seem them flower :thumbsup:
