"The DEA's Administrative Law Judge, Francis Young concluded: 'In strict medical terms marijuana is far safer than many foods we commonly consume. For example, eating 10 raw potatoes can result in a toxic response. By comparison, it is physically impossible to eat enough marijuana to induce death. Marijuana in its natural form is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man.'"
Factbook: Medical Marijuana

"There have been no reported deaths or permanent injuries sustained as a result of a marijuana overdose. It is practically impossible to overdose on marijuana, as the user would certainly either fall asleep or otherwise become incapacitated from the effects of the drug before being able to consume enough THC to be mortally toxic."

I won't say its impossible to do but in order to overdose on THC you really really have to try and you probably have to take it intravenously.
