i dunno about yal, but i spent all my childhood being told i'm not yet a man, and i'm stil just a kid/boy blah blah blah...

now that i've spent the years growing up to become a man, if it's used as an insult, it is kind of aggervating/angering...

I see what you mean. I was told the same thing when I was growing up. I guess it would be a little aggravating, but in the end, I know I am a man, and that is what counts. I don't need any source of validation from people to tell me what I am and what I am not.

I've been called alot worse than "boy". Wouldn't bother me at all.

As long as she isn't insinuating I'm immature, I could care less.
Because that would be a terrible thing wouldn't it? I have been called "little boy," for my charm and for my immaturity. Hell, I have been called "baby." Would I get angry? Not at all. If I perceive hostility in the words it is potentially bewildering to me. "Why are you upset?" I always ask that question knowing well that I am constitutionally an inconsiderate asshole but for some reason it remains incognizant until someone brings it to my attention. That is when all hell breaks loose. I lose my mind knowing that I am an asshole...it is not something I aspire to after all. I am no saint but it bothers me to receive satisfaction from putting someone down.

All I got to say is

"I got your boy hanging right here"

It does depend on the context that it is used in...but to call a grown man a boy is derogitory and shows disrespect..

So, No, I fucking hate it.. Always have, always will.
