Nightmares
I had some really bad, vivd dreams last fall when my sister was at her sickest and in the two months following her death. Other than that, nightmares aren't part of my normal experience. Hadn't had one in many many years, if what I had back then could be considered a nightmare. I mostly just have pretty ordinary dreams, nothing too scary.

I love nightmares. It's like, "Whoa, I freaked myself the fuck out." Especially when their lucid, it's awesome, the things you can do. Once I had a dream about Hitler and it was one of the weirdest dreams ever, I woke up and was like omg.

Nightmares
i rarely have nightmares but when i do, they are very intense. about 3 days ago i dreamt that the world was ending and everybody was freaking the fuck out running down the street. then it kept getting hotter and hotter while people's head would swell up and explode all over the fucking place. so i'm standing watching everybody die and i feel it happening to me. knowing i was about to die (or thinking so anyways) scared the living shit out of me, and just as my head was to asplode, i woke up drenched in sweat.

hmmm well i go through periodic bouts of dreams. for example, I will have several dreamless nights for up to a month at a time then for a few days to a few weeks I'll have vivid dreams nightly, sometimes two or three dreams in one night. Every once in a while, say once or twice a month, I'll have a nightmare. Now most of my dreams are wildly vivid and emotional, I can remember them very well and have continuations of them later on and even incite a desired dream before i fall asleep. most of my dreams are either extremely surreal or extremely realistic and involve me in the first person trying to run away from or catch something or some kind of goal. my nightmares almost always involve me running away from something.
