I don't think I've ever believed in god
:S2:
delusionsofNORMALity Reviewed by delusionsofNORMALity on . I don't think I've ever believed in god First off, sorry I'm posting so much it's just that I have nothing to do. I just figured out something that really depresses me. I don't think I've ever believed in god. I try to think back to when my parents took me to church but all I can remember is a butt-fucking boring place where you could rent lame bible videos. And I try to think back on what I thought of Jesus and his father but I go blank. I remember being terrified of hell and thinking they copied Pinocchio by having a dude live Rating: 5

3. You are bordering on the line of spirituality and insanity. I try and be respectful to what people believe, but you are making it very hard. You are so fanatical it is funny, it also makes other believers look bad.
Out of curiosity, I assume you feel the Templar's were doing god's work?

They were basically the marines of Christendom. They did some good things, like creating one of the first banks. They would allow pilgrims to give them their money before they left on their journey and would give them a slip to be handed to one of the templars buildings in their final destination where they would be given most of what they deposited back.
The Templars became very rich, and many believe as a result of this, some what corrupt.
I assumed since you are so big into the whole god thing you would at least find researching other view on god would be interessting for an intelligent person. I guess not
Call it devine madness if you like, but "divine madness is why we have fanatical muslims attacking America and Europe. "Divine madness" is why so many of the extreme Batists are such a misery to be around.
You claim you aren't ignorant, but I honestly think you are probably one of the most ignorant people here. The fact you feel your so superior to everyone else is the main thing making me think that. Only the ignorant can have such a warped view of superiority.
Believe what you will. It doesn't effect me any. I do urge you to read something other than the bible though. There is much more to life than god and hope one day you will realize that.
I just fail to see how an intelligent person can be so sure of what he believes. Even most religious folk are tolerable of others views even if they think theirs are right. Not you though, you have the whole mythology figured out correctly. Good for you.

And to the thread starter:
Don't get depressed in the fact you don't believe in god. If you feel like something is missing in your life and you think god may help fill that void, start doing research. Read what different religions say on the matter. Decide if any of them sound right, moral, and just to you. If you find one you think you may like, go to a mass or two.
The only way to find out if you believe, is to expose yourself to the idea of god.
Really all you have to do is sit down and ask yourself if you think this world had to have been created by a greater being. There is no point in stressing yourself out over the topic though. Make the best decision you can make when you gather enough info from both sides.

I wouldn't call myself an atheist(sp) mainly because Im not sure what it means. But partly because I question that humanity just evolved. lol
there is SOME greater force.
i was raised catholic.....i was confirmed and everything
I do not agree with catholic ways.
but it does help people and gives them hope.
so if I happen to meet a female(colombian-prefered)catholic that wants to raise her(and mine) kids catholic. its fine with me. as far as marriage, i'd love a white wedding in a church. lol doesnt mean i believe mary had a miraculous(sp) birth.
i'll let my children decide for themselves, like i did...when the age is right
it just helps keeping them innocent for as long as possibe.
then again im only 20 wtf do I know about life...
