I don't think I've ever believed in god

better to live a short while and experience all the joy and sadness of this earth ,then fade away to nothingness; than to waste those years amid the mystical imaginings of the deluded masses and struggle fruitlessly for the answer that never comes.

or

better to reign in hell than serve in heaven.

take your pick
delusionsofNORMALity Reviewed by delusionsofNORMALity on . I don't think I've ever believed in god First off, sorry I'm posting so much it's just that I have nothing to do. I just figured out something that really depresses me. I don't think I've ever believed in god. I try to think back to when my parents took me to church but all I can remember is a butt-fucking boring place where you could rent lame bible videos. And I try to think back on what I thought of Jesus and his father but I go blank. I remember being terrified of hell and thinking they copied Pinocchio by having a dude live Rating: 5

yea i used to believe that also its like hey i might as well be a master of ego instead a master of reality, but I came to the realization that in doing that is just plain all around ignorant.

explaining further, its like you say Ego is real and reality is fake, I say reality is real and ego is fake. Why would truth allow for such misconceptions, and ignorance everywhere. You cannot deny the fact that there IS ignorance everywhere you look right? well that ignorance is EGO. Denying what I talk about is saying that every single person that believes themselves to be enlightened is wrong every single spiritual person is wrong, which means you believe there are 1000s and 1000s of spiritual seekers which are just psyco and they dont know what thier doing..so then people that have accepted thier ego and live in ignorance are the ones who are correct? come on seriously.

as the outward manifestation of the psyche, it is nothing more than a necessary mask. its destruction leaves one open to predatory nature of those about you and only a fool or a saint would leave themselves defenseless in this hostile world. i'm pretty sure you're not the latter and i can only hope you're not the former. of course, an obsession with one's ego is unhealthy, but its absence is equally so. perhaps you should attempt to control your ego before you go preaching about the need for its destruction.

Really. Have you ever thought that maybe it's YOUR ego that's huge? And that the universe doesn't revolve around humans....

And I got my name just out of fascination with the Mayan civilization. Their entire religion was based around the most complex calendar the world has ever known and it all ends on Dec. 21 2012. That's also when Terence Mckenna predicted that the historical endpoint would occur in his novelty theory. I also heard somewhere that some Tibetan Buddhists believe this day will usher in a new age of peace. I didn't know anything about planets aligning with god. Although I'll add that one to the list.
I am also a 2012/mayan calendar nut, I suggest you pick up Lawrence E. Josephs APOCALYPSE .He takes every angle that has been mentioned when it comes to 2012 and writes about it in a very comical way.

The author traveled to Guatemala to talk to the Shamans who hold the most sacred texts that werent destroyed by the Spanish raids.

According to contemporary Mayan belief, the ancestors of this world already have started to come back and are mixing in with the population. They are not interested in being recognized. By 2012 they will all have returned to fulfill the sacred mission of that momentous year.

The resurrection is being accomplished in the children being born today. everyone who was ever born and died in the past will have returned by 2012. The worlds population explosion is evidence of this mass reincarnation. There is always a reason a soul's incarnation cycle hits a dead end. For some souls the stumbling block may be love, for others courage.

Between now and 2012, we all will have an oppurtunity to face, and overcome, the challenges to our personal evolution. Those who pass their tests will move on to enjoy an enlightened new era. Those who fail will be stuck in this dimension for many thousands of years, at which presumably they will get another chance to take the test.

It doesnt sound any less crazy than Christianity to me

Corinthians 3:16
Don't you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
3:18 - Stop fooling yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world's standards, you will have to become a fool so you can bycome wise by God's standards.

Listen you just sound like little kids to me, i've already learned and sifted through everything you have said..My ego has become that of destroying ego so its like a paradox..I only preach on here, all the people I know in real life think im awsome and always try to call and hang out with me but I usually prefer to be alone, the reason i argue on here is simply because I like it. Coming on here to become upset would not make sence, arguing with people on here is very fun to me..About defences, my psycic defences are very strong, not even powerfull dark workers can penetrate them.

I appear as a fool on the outside so it is usually the judgment people first make about me, but once they get to know me they are like ok..didnt expect you to be like this.. ALL things spiritual and becoming closer to god IS about weakening and destroying ego, it is the basis of ALL spiritual seekers, even masters have to work on being rid of what is left of thier ego.
