I get that, too! You're not strange. You're nice. Thanks for what you wrote above about your nightly talks with God!

OK, this is one of the things I remember hearing people tell me about getting older, and I never believed it. In my teens and 20s and 30s, I used to have to read or listen to nature sounds or do deep breathing and relaxation exercises to get to sleep. Now that I'm in my 40s, I'm tired enough not to have to have any pre-sleep routine. I stagger into the bedroom, lie down, turn off the bedside lamp, and close my eyes. That's all it takes. I was never an easy sleeper, and now that I'm older, I am. People told me that would happen.

The next step is probably going to be starting to nod off while sitting up. . . . like you see happening to people in nursing homes.
birdgirl73 Reviewed by birdgirl73 on . What do you think about before you sleep? What do you think about when you lay in bed for sleep? the day you had or maybe some fantasy world you would like to live in. I think about inventions and/or problems in the world and solutions I would come up with if i had the time/money/energy to do so. That may be lame but I could never get to sleep if all i did was think about shit going on in my life. Rating: 5
