First Grow Master X Bubba Clones in Coco
On April 14 I bought some clones from the local MMJ co-op. They were looking a little droopy, but they were really nice clones with big stems, about 1/2 the size of a pencil.
The clones had been at the co-op for a few days, under bad light for who knows how many hours per day - not exactly ideal conditions. They came in what I think is a Speedy Cloner cup/cube holder. (They look like they came from the kind of cloner system Stinky Attic uses.) Anyway, they were studly little clones but kinda droopy and when I brought them home seemed to just hang there in limbo for about a week and then they started growing.
When I got them, the largest clone was about 3 1/4", the smallest 2".
Before I ever got a single plant, I spent almost a month researching this sight every day. I learned a lot and applied what I learned. I really appreciate all of the time the experienced growers put into sharing their wisdom on this forum.
And here's some photos of my girls. (Reference No. is to the last two digits in the file name.)
No. 01 is the three of them, side by side. They were different heights when I adopted them and they've kept about the same proportionate size difference the whole time.
No. 07 is one of the girls close up.
No. 03 is a lot closer. I don't know a lot about mj plants, but this seems pretty healthy to me.PharmaCan Reviewed by PharmaCan on . As I said in my previous post, the girls just kinda hung in limbo for about the first week. The day after I got them home, I moved the clones into 18 oz plastic cups with coco. I fed them daily with R/O water and B-1 until they showed signs of growth then started them on nutes - 3 Part @ 1/8th strength.
As soon as they started growing, they took off and never looked back. I've got no idea how many nodes the girls have - partly because I don't know how to count nodes and, even if I did, the vegetation on the main branch is so thick I can't see in there well enough to distinguish what's what.
I wasn't really sure if or when I would learn to grow MMJ, so I started out with just a small grow box with 8,000 lumens of 6,500K cfls. When the plants started to thrive, I needed a larger growing environment so I spent a few hours throwing together a 2'L x 2'D x 4'H grow box. I then had 17,600 lumens in 6,500k cfls and 4,5 lumens in 3,000k.
Today I got a 125 watt (true watts), full spectrum bulb and it's in the cabinet in the photos. The lumens now are up to approximately 26,000.
I ordered a 4" inline duct fan for the cabinet and will install a ventillation system as soon as it arrives. Right now I'm just leaving the door open and blowing fresh air into the box with a 12" oscillating fan..

How's the color of these girls?
The colors in this photo are very true to life. The hat in the photo is standard military OD, for comparison..

I'm using Advanced Nutrients 3 Part (Micro - Grow - Bloom) mixed as per package intructions.
About seven days ago I added molasses to the mixture - approx. 1 tablespoon per gallon.
About five days ago I added Superthrive, dosed per package.
Today I bought Sweet, Cal - Mag + and Liquid Karma. I'm not quite sure what to do with the Liquid Karma. It was my one ond only impulse buy of the day.
I quit using R/O water after about one week, but it seems like almost all the experienced growers are using CalMag+ regardless of the water source. Am I right or wrong about this? How much CalMag+ should I use - just follow the label? Do I add it to all the water?
Below are a couple more photos of the girls. Before everyone starts screaming at me to start flowering, these girls are growing to be mothers. I'm building a grow room in the garage that's a tad larger and will accomodate a few more than three plants.
The first three pics are the girls posing on their own. The fourth just shows more of the thick growth.
Oh - BTW - I smoked some bud from this same mother and it was really dynamite!.

Three weeks ago, the plant on the left looked just like the girl on the right.
First a general question, and I don't know how to ask it without sounding kinda nerdish, but, does the biomass of the roots increase in direct proportion to the increase in the biomass of the above ground plant?
Does the girl on the left look like she is ready for a bigger pot?.

Thanks Fog.
Right now I just want to grow these girls big enough to take the clones that will ultimately go into the garage grow.
Then I will have to decide which plant to keep for a mother. Even though these clones are from the same gnetic strain, and maybe even from the same mother for all I know, there seem to be some distinct differences in the way the girls are growing, so I want to completely flower their clones before I decide which one(s) to keep for a mother(s).

nice looking setup. I am interested to see how your plants do since you are only a few weeks ahead of my grow. Best of luck to you.
