The PETA, as much as they tend to become annoying, are really only that way because a lot of the officials have passion for what they are trying to do that would border on fanatical.

Sure. There are joints and farms where animals are treated like shit and die miserable deaths everyday from either abuse, neglect, or terrible living conditions. I've worked at one or two like that when I was still in school.

Then again, there are farms like the ones I inspect now that treat their animals better than most third world countries treat their humans. PETA ain't showin' than anytime soon. Also, in the end, its health inspectors like me that are responsible for disallowing that type of behavior and any type of lethal living conditions. Not the fucken PETA. All they are really is activists and rarely do they find themselves in the position of enforcer. They're really just snitches that could better invest their time become health/safety inspectors and actually mandate changes for the things they don't like or watch the palce get shut down.

I'll admit, though. It is very difficult to deal with weasel farm operators and managers that lie through their teeth about what they change and what they fix. The type of job it is, I don't go back there everyday to check on it, unless I had to call the EPA.

I still even work at local farms, since they simply CANNOT afford the money to hire the proper amount of people, or get their hands on trained and capable individuals that can handle being 10 different things at once and take the load off of people who really can't do some things. Every one I work at is filled with over-worked people doing 5 peoples' jobs. Of course you're not gonna be able to eat off the floor. But, we still take care of our animals and facilities, even though its a lot more troublesome than you would ever realized unless you've worked at large-scale farm productions.. Even then, there are diseases that spread overnight and kill thousands on some days. You can't always control everything. Then you have fights where they get too injured to live and you have to snap the necks. Its not a pretty thing and its not for people who don't care, either.
