in my opinion, humans are equal to animals. because we are all aware and in the same present on the same world breathing the same air..people need to eat, and as omnivores we have the right to eat meat. but the way we are doing things is so against what i believe in, yes there are humane slaughterhouses run by sane people, but there are also terrible ones and there are alot, and even if they do treat an animal humanely it still most likely will be in a cage for most of its life..know what i mean? we need small, self-sustaining communities so we wouldnt have a need for mass production like that
but that will never happen anymore,so..

I really don't have anything against eating meat... but the way we treat animals like objects disturbs me.

These animals are involuntarily sacrificing their lives so that we can go on living... we should at least be grateful for it and show them some respect while they are still alive, IMO.

ya i agree with this. im gonna keep eating meat cuz i like it, but we could do a better job of keeping the animals from suffering. If it was a human going through that we would flip shit.
