Oh no...
I've been a lurker here for a while and have gotten a lot of good advice. Because I've been working contract jobs, I've had to take many a test lately. I've successfully used substitution twice.
I finally, and out of the blue, got a permanent job offer with a really good company. I thought "Ok, I've substituted twice so there's no reason why I can't do it one last time."
I went there all ready to do my thing. Sat down to fill out the usual paperwork, etc. Then the girl who was to administer the test walked up to me with a pair of scissors and said, "I'm just going to cut a lock of your hair."
So much for my dream job.
A friend of mine mentioned something about how many of the hair tests are never even sent it. Well, I'm not putting any stock in that. He also said that at that point I should have taken the urine I was hiding, thrown it on the floor, and said, "Well, I guess I don't need this anymore!"
I was just wondering if there was any truth behind companies not actually sending the hair samples in?Twinkle2 Reviewed by Twinkle2 on . Oh no... I don't know how true that is. Although I am pretty sure hair tests are expensive.

Hair tests aren't that expensive when compared to urine. Urine tests can usually cost an employer around $50-70 sometimes higher if they want to test every drug possible. Hair tests can cost an employer around $70-90.
