Image Reaper's current grow pic ...

sorry man, I warned you there might be questions ...

...are those rapid rooter plugs submersed in water? They don't crumble apart?

Of all my questions...that is the most burning...thanks!

ps..unlike many...I do read a LOT and from other sites. Other examples I've seen look like they just put cuttings into the tubing, no rapid rooter plugs...but you did make me want to buy them if nothing else, than for germinating seeds:thumbsup:

I drilled the holes with a hole saw, in my drill - they come with 4 or 5 sizes for about $10, if I remember right, I've had it a long time - I drilled inch-and-an-eighth holes, as the plugs are 1.5", so they hold themselves snugly in place - they will be about halfway thru the lid, sticking below, maybe 1/2" - one gallon of water covers my hose, and water level is about 4" below the plugs - the bubbles still get them plenty wet - OK! you're on your own now, good luck

an update from the Image Reaper: Reaper's 13 Willie Nelson clones, 9 days in soil cups - they look a little droopy because they were just watered, and misted - his big cabinet is currently full, and these need to get under the big lamp ASAP - right now they are just under a big CFL security light, and it isn't nearly as good as his old 48" flouro tubes - but, growing space is at a premium now, so we do what we can do ...

Willie Nelson....shouldn't be surprised I guess but I am, lol. The clones look nice and healthy. Is Willie a sativa or indica? And technically shouldn't it be Wilma Nelson? :stoned:

    Willie Nelson :

    Quote :

"Willie Nelson is an F1 hybrid between Vietnamese and Highland Nepalese. This was bred specifically for the man it's named after, a good ol boy who likes old school sativas, so we combined the best of old school and new school to create Willie Nelson. You'll be singing along to an old Willie song in about 10 weeks. Finishes quick outdoors for a strong sativa, and has good mold resistance. Good yield, sweet and sour taste, extra cerebral in effect. Inside Finish Time: 10-12 weeks / Outside Finish Time: late Oct. / Variation: 3 / Odor Level: 3.5 / Mold Resistance: 4 / Yield: 5 / Ease of Growth: 5"

    Unquote :

    Our Opinion, so far :

although it is supposed to be extremely potent, we don't recommend this seed to anyone, as there was so much in-fighting between the breeder, retailers, etc., that the credibility of the strain was ruined, in my opinion - we struggled to get ONE seed to germinate, and it came from an OPENED breeder-package, from Growshop Alien - we would personally avoid anything from either Barney's (the retailer), or Reeferman (the breeder) - both have very sketchy reputations (reputations, in my opinion, that they deserve) our experiences with Growshop Alien have been 'mixed' :wtf:

Thanks for the info Frank. Pretty complete if you ask me. Yeah, one seed just isn't a bucketload is it? I haven't tried any of the seedbanks you mentioned but will keep the info in mind.

Do like the singing a Willie song in ten weeks part.....

    Thanks

some grow logs I have read, indicate the flowering period will be more like 12-14 weeks for Willie (Wilma?) - that's pretty typical, though, most statistics tend to be on the optimistic side :smokin:

So I take it you guys are sativa people.....you must have quite the patience. I can barely wait 6-8 weeks and I'm still probably cutting things short. of course i'd probably be sleeping through a Willie song rather than singing to it because of the indica (ie...quick) tendencies.
