a new photo of 13 Willie Nelson clones, (their second day out of the bubble-cloner), and into soil - 'Reaper' TIP: if you are using a group of lightweight SOLO-type cups like these, or styrofoam cups, etc., wrap a piece of plain tape around them, as in the photo - works wonders for preventing tipped-over cups -

Good tip:thumbsup:I love those cups as well...makes transplanting easy, cut down and across to open cups or just slip the plants out like they're already greased!...no exploding like styrofoam. I read somewhere that taproots love that extra depth starting out as well!

So question...seeing as they're clones, I assume you like Willie Nelson? How is it...is it everything his name lives up to?

Daze, I haven't finished my Willie Nelson mother yet - she is in her second week of 12/12 right now - only ONE of ten seeds germinated, so I quickly took lots of clones, as I have already lost a lot of $$$ on this one - this is the sole growth from the garbage 'Barney's Farm/Reeferman' Willie Nelson seeds I bought from Growshop Alien - (all three ignored several e-mails from me asking for some sort of product support, that's why I bitch so much about it ) - anyway, I have taken a total of 43 clones from her, and now she is growing out - she is very healthy and doing well - the topping and heavy cutting for clones had no ill effects on her - I topped her at a month old, and she is now about 3 feet tall (indoors) I'm guessing she will put on another foot or two - one thing about Willie, she sure likes to eat - needed more nitrogen and potassium than all my other plants - I will keep updating the grow, and have a smoke report when cured - :smokin:

Frank, how long were the cuttings under long light...18/6 or 24/0? Did you tent them with plastic or a dome or just straight under the lights?

Curious to make the leap from seeds to cloning soon...

I'm iffy on Growshop as well...because of the Reaper's rave reviews, I'm committed to trying HempDepot next time:thumbsup:, waiting for c99 to be in stock, also considering NL99, Apollo11 or AK-47 (tough to narrow down)...Besides NL99, are any of those easy to clone?

    thanks,

SIMPLE HOME-MADE BUBBLE CLONER : plastic box (painted black to lightproof the roots), aquarium airpump, airstone (or porous airhose like I use), aquarium heater (maintains 80 degrees), and 'Ready-Rooter' plugs - I bought a second box, just to use it's bottom section for a 'humidity dome' - so far, I've had 100% success with this cloner, (and I always had terrible results when trying to clone the 'regular' way, I just didn't have the knack) - I put ONE drop of Superthrive in a gallon of pH-neutral water, run it about 18 hours a day, and let them drain overnight, humidity dome ON - (I do remove the humidity dome a couple times a day, for a few minutes to 'air out') - the clones are under only a WEAK light, I just sit mine on a window sill, out of direct light (we are building a root system here, not needing photosynthesis for growth) - it's 'no-touch' cloning, just let it be, until roots grow through the Rapid-Rooter plugs - about 8 days on my Willies - EASY way to clone
