Greed for grit weed.
The turn out does not really show how people feel on the situation
if you think that way then you think the turn out of the general election was legit and represented the way the majority of irish people felt..... WHICH IS NOT THE CASE!
It just shows how lazy and laid back us Irish are, Like we are known around the world for it. Also mixed in with lazyness is that we feel like we do not have a voice, it could have something to do with 700-800 years of oppression from the british that we can't really think for ourselves and let people like bertie and owlfellas that do not have a clue speak for us and the worst part about it is we think we can't do anything about it.
Look at other countries were say students over throw governments that are extreemly corrupt as in would kill you not brown envelopes. And they definitely were not being listened to. It was just a case of the sum of the whole is greater then its parts. So 400 people marching does not make much of a difference but it made more of a difference then anything you have ever done for cannabis. And it might have started 20-30 people growing which has a snowball effect on informing people about cannabis.
And if the snowball effect then goes back to the march the numbers might increase dramatically and then suddenly the law might be loosened. I think we are 20 years away from any politician taking the side of cannabis users but If we can inform the Irish public at large about how safe it is compared to other legal drugs like alcohol then the law might take a more relaxed approach to cannabis and a more strict approach on dangerous drugs and crime.
Also the more people growing the less business for scumbags who deal either the death weed(grit), soapbar or more importantly take money out of the hands of dangerous gangs
