well i am a phil phan and ive seen him do some amazing things with that bass. technicaly he maynot be the best, but i love the man. maybe it is just sentimental, but hay waht the hell we all got our own opinion. i also really dug allen woody. dave schools is also a kick ass.

i dig all of them, i just dont see what phil lesh has ever done with a bass that has been amazing. dave schools and allen woody, hell yes, lesh, i just dont know what you mean, but you seem pretty cool and we are all entitled to our opinions, so have a good one

No really Steve Vai, Mike Keneally, and Frank Zappa. I base this on ability. Zappa wasn't the most fluid but her came up with some amazing stuff. He was smart enough to realize that he couldn't play the stuff he wrote so he hired people who could like Keneally, Vai, Adrian Belew, Ike Willis and the list goes on.
Download a song called Beautiful by Mike Keneally if you don't believe me. Your ears will love you forever for it. He plays and sings that shit at the same time. He's also the musical director for the Paul Green School of Rock and does one of the voices on Metalacolypse.
