These are almost universally flavinoids, not steroid hormones like, say, any of the estrogens. They are not interchangeable. What you are saying is that because a steak knife can be used as a phillips screwdriver, a phillips screwdriver can be used as a steak knife.

No, flavinoids are primarily found as pigments and as components of a plant's immune system. They are not hormones. They have no signifigant effect on growth rate or pheno. Flavinoid levels are regulated by plant metabolism, not vice versa.

Once again, not hormones. No increase in growth rate. See above.

Not if they know what they're doing. I thought that this myth dissappeared back around 1974

There's none. Lots of scientific evidence to the contrary, though.

Plenty of people voted for W. Did'nt make it a good idea. They did it for the same reason,too...

Kinda implies that you have'nt. Please don't state fairy tales as fact.

I don't mean to pick on ya, I just don't want this place to turn into an echo-chamber of misinformation
Well if i made anything sound like a fact, sorry to mislead anyone. However, i have read tons of sites and forums post (including ones on this forum) about how birth control pills increase growth and no one has said that it doesnt work (well, very few in number). Since both birth control pills and menstrual blood contain the same two hormones, i made the assumption that they are interchangeable. I also found several references supporting that they are... (the most notable being a test using a tomato plant and birth control pills, the results were more growth)

You appear to be well informed on this topic, but i can honestly say majority of the post, sites, and articles i have read support that this does in fact work.

and since i havent tried it myself, I was just posting the general consensus.

maybe there is alot of mis-information out there, and out of my own ignorance i am now spreading it further but until i can test it myself i cant be sure...
