Thumbnails will be automatically generated for JPG and PNG images.

Only links will be available for GIF images due to licensing issues with GD (graphics library utilized by PHP). In addition, posters may see PHP error messages when posting one or more GIF images - such errors will not affect the posting operation...the post will still be added as usual.
