Smoked a joint with two friends

My best friend since middle school and some girl we just picked up at a gas station. We smoked it by the lake while the Texas sun was setting in the shy...all the colors were so beautiful. Just three kids exporing their inter conciousness, expressing, talking. Without the cares of this world on are shoulders.

You do wonder what the hell we're doing here... Why are there these things called planets... different moons...and of course the sun. Why are there these things called people...little earthling walking around on the face of the earth...It's crazy...we're a living being... One of many living beings in different galazies..

Well, I wonder who determined that, BF. I know it must have come from SOME scientific source, but how did they actually figure that one out? Cuz if I only use like 5% or 10% of my brain capacity, then wtf is the rest of it there for? If I could use it, I'd be able to do stuff like light joints with my fingertips and speak telepathically and shit...so why won't they (whoever 'they' are) let us use all of our brains?! Greedy bastards...

From what I've heard, the brilliant minds are still in the process of uncovering the brain's potential. So I've always wondered who came up with that brain-usage percentage, too, since we don't yet even know all that it can do in the first place.

I try not to let it worry me too much. I'm sure I don't use my hands or arms to their fullest capacity, either. But they still come in handy. . . . .

Well, they better be using *substances of which we do not speak* to unlock it, because how do you do that otherwise? LOL

Just thought I'd add my two cents on the brain issue: The myth that we use 10% of our brains is just that, a myth. It was first started by 1930's carnie psychics who claimed to have "tapped into the other 90%". That's not to say there isn't a lot of untapped potential, but that comes from making stronger and more efficient neural connections by training certain parts of the mind. For instance, I once read a study where they performed brain scans (maybe MRI, not sure) on buddhist monks who had spent years on awareness meditation, and found that the part of their brain involved with awareness was considerably more developed than the average person. Quite simply, because they excercise it hard and excercise it daily. The brain's just another muscle.
