My first ever lucid dream (2 tall business men)

I was happily dreaming away, inattentively hanging with my father, younger sister, brother and step mom in some unfamiliar but welcoming house.
I donā??t recall much what I did before I gained lucidity, but I vividly remember going to what I believe was the parentā??s room to see my younger sister laying on some bed or couch and my little brother laying at the end of the big bed which my step mom was laying on.

My step mom then gets up and says,ā?Iā??ll be right backā? and runs out of the room. I then found myself waiting around alone, for some reason in the room looking at me in a mirror (wasnā??t lucid) sitting on what seemed to be a bed, then ALL of a sudden; ā??HELLO!ā? , to my left were 2 tall ailing men in business suites. One looked to be in his early 30ā??s, dark hair whilst the other was probably in his late 50ā??s, early 60ā??s with grey hair.

At that exact moment I gained lucidity, the greeting sounded so realā?¦ and I got up to see what was up and they came into the room and they made themselves comfortable in a standing position. I stood up an gave them their utter most attention and they seemed to be giving ME theirs.

    So me, at FULL lucidity, kept my calm as Iā??ve heard how itā??s normal to sometimes gain consciousness in dream state so I decide to have some fun and I say to them;

    ā??I think Iā??m in a lucid dreamā?

ā??Well, yea. Yes, you are.ā? Replied the dark haired man who I was situated more in front with around the bed.

    ā??Are you dream guiders??ā?

    ā??Thatā??s right.ā? He replied again.

I still had full consciousness at this point and I ended up asking, ā??I know Iā??m dreaming but does this actually exist??ā?

He gave me a weird kind of look and took a phone call (it didnā??t ring lol), I then kept asking them but they were not answering and too caught up with their calls.

I then got a phone call on MY mobile (which was in the usual pocket) and I look at the screen to see a still video of some red car. I wanted to stop it and I could see ā??snoozeā?? as an option and then went to put the phone back then some other video came up which I had to cancel.
I then purposely decided to place my phone on the dresser to see how real everything works an suprisingly it looked just like real life. I then thought Iā??ll roam around the dream and I first tried to manipulate my surroundings but it wouldnā??t workā?¦

I then hurriedly went to run for the door and quickly turned back to the two men and said, ā??Iā??ll be back in a sec!ā? to see them casually and peacefully standing there watching me run out.

I then run through a small dark hallway into what seemed to be a kitchen and saw my dad and step mom dancing like the ā??human chain trainā?? (cha cha cha cha, cha, cha) listening to some small radio.
I then lost lucidity and woke up.

I find it weird how these guys stood out so much, had such an understanding, importance and solid stance of the dream while my family as I recalled did weird things.

By far the most fun Iā??ve had asleep. Hope it continues. :stoned:

My first ever lucid dream (2 tall business men)

Lucid dreaming is, without a doubt, the most awesome experience I have ever had. I am lucky to be able to have them with such ease. You become god of your own simulated universe. There's just no beating that for awesomeness. There's so much about reality and consciousness and experience to learn through lucid dreaming. In a recent lucid dream, I learned a deeper understanding of how the self is an illusion, as is time, that all mental states are of equal value, and that my separation from the rest of the cosmos is an illusion created by the limitations of the current mental state in this corner of the universe.

It's kind of hard to explain, but it helps to contemplate the fact that there is no real "essence" of you; nothing in you that could be taken away and it wouldn't be you anymore. Every atom in your body is an atom that was not part of you seven years ago, and in seven years or so you will be a completely new set of atoms. You are more like a wave of particles than a mass of stuff, constantly flowing through space and time, forever changing and becoming something new and different. All mental states are just momentary stages in various waves that are the nervous systems of various evolved creatures. Every mental state perceives itself as separate from another, because it has only limited knowledge, namely that knowledge that has been inscribed into its neural structure by the past states of the nervous system's waveform. But ultimately this separation of subjectivities is an illusion. If somebody was able to make an instant exact copy of your brain, molecule for molecule, with some advanced technology that we don't have yet, then the new brain's mental state would be just as much a continuation of your current experience as your original brain's continuation of that mental state. You would experience a continual flow of existence in two separate beings. If you think about it, you realize that the universe is experiencing itself subjectively through all consciousnesses in the universe at all times, and it experiences itself as entities which have limited knowledge which creates an illusion within that being that the universe is experiencing itself only through that being.

It was a lot to take in, but...wow. I love the deep philosophical lucid dreams. And also the lucid dreams where I just have crazy sex and make all kinds of cool explosions and stuff.

Really well put. I'll rep you when I can.
I wish I could find someone like you in person...
    I need a psych buddy...

Whenever I've stumbled upon lucidity, it usually turns into a nightmare or I wake up. I'll start going crazy with power, flying and changing everything really fast and then all of a sudden something will catch my attention and I will lose lucid concentration and my powers will sort of weaken, like half-work, I'll be able to fly only a certain height or my legs will turn to jelly and then the whole Chase factor starts in and... oh well...
As with most good things, lucid dreaming seems to take discipline.
    Try try try again.
