This might end up a bit wordy, so I apologize in advance.

I've known my best friend, we'll call him C, for going on 9 years now. We're great buddies, he was partially responsible for bringing me into smoking. He's not the brightest of the bunch, but he's a really good person. He's living with his girlfriend and they have a 1-year old.

Now, his job is seasonal, and while he sometimes makes a good paycheck, normally they're not what they need to be. He had a good dealer, and as he was oftentimes calling this dealer for all his friends and neighbors, he got the idea to start dealing himself.

Now, in a perfect world, I would not want him doing this. I know this. But I'm afraid there is nothing I can do at this point to dissuade him from this. However, I still want to help him, so I was wondering, does anyone have any advice for me or for him? What can he or I do to keep him as safe as possible?
