Getting stoned with your grandfather.

My grandad has Alzheimers and he is a very fun guy to be around. He still thinks it's 1945 and keeps talking about his convertible Packard anbd etc.

One day I had the brilliant idea of getting the old man high. At first I thought I scored some serious bud because the old man straightened out about 70%! "Kids today with their e-pods and i-mail (sssssssp) little bastards the whole lot of them (wooooooooooof). Man, cars today suck did you know that? (ssssssssssp) With their crumple zones and saftey features (woooooof) Back in my day you can hit a tree at 35mph and there was only damage to the tree. I want pancakes. With bacon!"

Needless to say we laughed our asses off. We thought it was monster bud but turns out it was just his reaction to all weed, whether we got kush or krap he still reacted the same. All day long it's the 40's then when he gets stoned he transports back to today. Amazing.

One time he seen me getting our toy poodle stoned and the old man almost pissed himself. He started doing it every time we got high (once a week).

I'm 39 years old, the old man was 89. He died three weeks ago. Yesterday was the first time I got high without him. I started crying. Then started laughing so hard I pissed my pants. The old bastard was cool. Had 9 kids, about 25 or so grandchildren and a few great grand children. They tossed the old fart in a home and he always told me "Don't let them put me in a home Tone, I'll die there." They stuffed him in a home when the Alzheimers started and I came to the rescue. He lived with me for 6 years. I was his favorite grandson (named after him) and on the rare occasion that the other family would come over to visit, he'd tell them all to go to hell. He didn't need anybody except his best "son", Tony. He thought I was his son which really didn't bother me I never bothered to correct him.

Funeral? Only a hand full showed up. Nobody really gave a shit. Only flowers were from me & my kids. Nobody else cared. I was like, WTF people are not disposable. The very blood that runs thru your veins came from his balls. If he hadn't banged the old lady that night, none of you guys would even be here and you can't just throw him away because he is a minor inconveinence to your busy lives. Mutherf.... meh why even bother. They all showed up at the will reading. I met people I never seen before. The old bastard wanted everybody there.

The old man was worth 135K in cash, about 20K in stocks, had a decent size lot in northern california where he owed about 10K in property taxes but it's worth way more then that so no big deal to pay that off. And the old guy had an insurance policy for 20K. He prepaid for his casket, his funeral, his plot next to his woman, even left me an envelope with instructions in his closet. "Son, if you are reading this you are either a nosy little bastard of I've died." Everything went to me & my kids. The will was changed two months after I took him out of the old folks home. Everything was originally going to the home where they put him, but when I came to get him and when he knew he was staying with me, he changed it. Personally I had no clue the old man had cash, wouldn't have made a difference. I don't think I would have loved him more or did anything different if I knew about the money. Maybe I would have screwed it all up if I'd known.

Some might call it elderly abuse, but I personally saw nothing wrong with getting the old man high once a week. The old man really looked forward to our "Poker Night". He may have had Alzheimers and thought we was still in the 40's, but on Friday afternoon the old man would as he would call it Quadruple S (Shit, Shave, Shower, old Spice) and get ready for a night out with the guys.

I really miss him. He did shit his pants on occasion, but I guess that's the way it goes. Gunner Seargent in the ol 33rd. Something like that. Dishonorable discharge for kicking the shit out of his C.O. Nearly killed his Commanding Officer for beating up and picking on his buddy. Did 2 years in a military prison. That was the first story the old man ever told me and at that time I fell in love with the guy. If that's not a stand up mofo I don't know what is. Knew he'd go to prison, knew he'd get discharged, knew it would hit the fan, yet he did it anyway. Personally I would have told my buddy to toughen up and take it like a man. Not the old man, he kicked the ever loving crap out of his C.O. in front of his soldiers and choked him until he passed out. Three other officers had to peel him off of him. Or so he says, for all I know he got caught fut bucking his buddy in back of the latrine.

That was so friggin wrong. Funny. Yet wrong.

Two questions for you guys. I just started smoking not so long ago.

1: I've been doing Kush for a while. White Widow & Purple Haze are also available to me. According to my source, Bubba Kush is the best seller, but is thee a difference in the high from Kush, Widow or Haze? Or is it all basically the same?

2: I am paranoid about the smell! Wife doesn't know and it's a bad example to my kids. Does the smell really stay on you, your clothes, your hair, your beard or is it just my imagination? I can swear 3 hours into it, I can still smell it on my hands, on my breath if I exhale, on my shirt if I smell it. Is it true or just paranoia?

3: I'm really overweight. Sometimes the day after I am still a little high. A friend said it's because I'm fat and THC sticks to fat and sometimes I can just get high for no reason within 24 hours of getting high. I have experienced it, don't know if it's true or not or if it's just my head playing games.

4: I've heard that eating bud gives a longer more mellow high then smoking it? True?

Yea, really. I mean, you might be worried about smoking him up, but what I see is someone who cared enough to take in and care for an old person instead of placing him in a home. That's a lot. Really, that was a good thing to do :jointsmile:
