FORT DIX, N.J., May 8 (UPI) -- An FBI sting has resulted in the arrest of six Albanian men who were allegedly plotting a killing spree at the U.S. Army's Fort Dix in New Jersey.
Sources who asked not to be identified told the Newark (N.J.) Star-Ledger the arrests were made Monday night in two locations as the suspects showed up to purchase AK-47 assault rifles.

The report said an arms dealer agreed to cooperate in the sting that foiled a plot to kill as many soldiers as possible at the base.

The arrests were made at two homes in the Cherry Hill area, and several of the suspects were from the same family, the sources said.

There was no immediate report on the motive for the attack, which a source told CNN was well into the surveillance and planning mode.
