I think you're going to like this...

can't sleep... Well, it's me, a year later and many many hours spent browsing the growers posts... Before I start this, I want to say that none of this would have been possible without you guys, your passion, and Our passion for this incredible plant. May we strive to continue it's legacy and undermine it's enemies.

Strains: White Rhino, NLXShiva, and maybe a sativa freebie if they germ.
I'm growing these outdoors, gorilla style.
However, after reading a few threads here and researching growing in Trees,
I've rigged up a sweet little platform about 15 feet up, direct sunlight, 360 guard branches just high enough to lst a little and bring in maybe an ounce. . The tree is the type with thick furry branches, the kind you would want when hiding something inside of it. If the White rhino in the tree isn't a female, I will discard it and replace it with an lsted wr female from my other gorilla spot. All plants will be lsted.

You'll love the pics I take, it's a very beautiful perspective.

I'm using Whitney Farms premium potting soil-75% (which I didn't quite realize was organically ferted already, but thats ok, It has a good ph and my test kits seem to favor it as well)
    vermiculite, -10%
    worm castings - 15 %
and foxfarms Grow Big and Tiger Bloom nutrients.
I'm also using water jugs as pots, 1 gallon jugs until i've properly lsted them, and transplanting into 2.5 gallon "faucet" kind of water jugs that you fill cups off of.
I germed all 10 nlxshiva and 5 Wr's. All fifteen germed, which I wasn't expecting. I will update with pics of everything mentioned when they have all sprouted.

My only concerns for this grow are People and nitrogen. I'm spreading the plants to three different spots, but all three are obviously not in my closet behind a lock.
I'm also a bit worried about n levels, they might cause over fert or a deficiency, but i've read that whitney farms premium potting works pretty well for a pre-ferted mix, and I don't have to worry about any nutrients for at least 30 days, which I'm extending to 40 so as to remain safe.

Just wait for those tree pics, they're going to be Pimp imp:
    goodnight or goodmorning everybody

    Good and Bad news.
I realized how much of an idiot growing in trees is when you can find perfectly wonderful guerilla spots. Good news: I did.
Plus the tree was too near people, if anyone had gotten a whiff and seen a slight discoloration in the upper branches it wouldn't of gone well.

I also started taking this a bit more seriously, and I'm hoping for at least a pound of high quality weed. In cali that's... something over $4500. And so far... I've invested about 200 bucks. Pretty good deal

In order to up the yeild, I realized the most important factor seems to be pot size, which indicates the amount of medium you're using.
So, today I ventured out and bought 2 bags of perlite, and a really really good soil called Garden and Bloom. Has practically everything you top soil growers preach. Also, I bought some neem oil based pesticides.
This, is going to be SO awesome.
I mixed everything together with some more worm castings and the rest of my vermiculite, and watered it down.

My seedlings were slow starters but are really showing improvement after I flushed the pre-ferted soil. Even this one little retard is showing determination to get smoked by me!
    Life is good.

Pics of everything, enjoy (as well as some trippy christmas light tracers I made with a friend. I love this camera)

p.s. I have access to a tap near my grow, and tap in these parts seems to be around 7.2. Both my soils are ph balanced, but would just a tiny sprinkling of baking soda per gallon help me out? Or should I just assume the soil is already perfect and forget about it? I'll prolly do a run-off check...

You know... what's the point of doing a grow log?
If I have probs i'll just post a question thread.

It's so people that havn't grown, or want to better their next grow, can get a sense of the process it takes to do a grow.

Well... if you put it that way... I guess the little effort will help some other hopeful smoker, and I can certainly empathise with that.

    Thanks.

Ok, well, for the newbies then
I have the seedlings in 6'' plastic cups, and I poked holes in the bottom with a pin to improve drainage and co2 intake.
This is 10 days in so far, 9 out of soil. They all look relatively similar, all on their second set of leaves, two got munched on a little by buggies but are fighting hard.
I use another cup filled with the same soil mix to gauge the weight of wet/dry soil. Seems to be about every 3 days they need a good watering, though this varies with temps and humidity of course. I live in south california.
