What can I use to power an ac axial fan?!
Ok, I need something that I can use that doesn't have to be hooked up to a computer and can power an ac axial fan. I have an odor problem and I need to get something that works before it changes from fresh plant smell to skunky bud smell lol. I didn't know the right place to put this thread so I put it in the forum where most of the people look. I'm building a basic odor neutralizer that I seen on the forums and now all I need is something to power the fan and I can get it all set up and working.

You probably don't have one but an electric train power thing can be used to fuck with all sorts of electronics in fact i tried to make a electric dryer sheet tube with computer fans unfortunately it was not powerful enough

What can I use to power an ac axial fan?!
why not just plug it injto a wall?
anyways, for whatever reason you should be able to just get an ac adapter (such as for older cell phones, or battery chargers for RC cars, you know the huge block plugs with skinny wires) and wire it in, and it should work fine... just make sure they're both rated the same....

What can I use to power an ac axial fan?!
Will a PSU from an old computer work? I read some where that it could. Btw Slip I can't plug it up to a wall because it doesn't have a plug. I'm guessing you're asking because you clicked the link? That's why I ordered the damn thing, thought it was easy..just plug in. But no I have to hook it up to something. There is no plug. Fucking false advertisement.

What can I use to power an ac axial fan?!
i dunno a PSU is a little more juice then you'd need to run just a fan, i'm not positive but that could cause more energy to be put into the fan then the motor is capable of handling....
you don't have any old A/C adapters (http://www.bizsyscon.com/pics/AC_ADAPTER.jpg) lying around anywhere?
what could also work (you might wanna get this confirmed i'm not positive) is just cutting the plug off some old appliance... (old clock, vcr, anything tha tplugs into a wall outlet that you don't need) and wire it that way.... the only thing that throws me off is it saying 120 Volt AC... but it does show a standard wall outlet plug in the picutre (not an ac adapter)

What can I use to power an ac axial fan?!
i can' treally see what i'm looking at here...
in the 2nd pic, the thing in your fingers, is that where the fan connets to the electric supply? if so, is it like a rubber boot, with two holes?
if so i think what you gotta do is simply, strip the ends opposite of a regular plug (not adapter) and shove them in there... good and tight..
