Yeah, so far Walmart has been the cheapest $6.56 for 2.
The reason that I built this contraption is to cut down on heat and increase bulb life. I have been using cfls in reflector clamp lamps but I think that the reflectors trap too much heat near the ballast and they burn out way sooner than they should. While this setup might not be as efficient without reflectors, air can flow right through.
This thing will hold 28 bulbs in total. 44,800 lumens in a 18"x36" cabinet at a cost of 728 watts. As with most things that I do, I may have pushed this a little far.
