energy lights
hi there
im not a begginer but the last plants i did kept dieing for some reason i dont know why so im asking on this one mates so here it is.
im growing a white widow and a big bud they are about 3/4inch tall and im using a 75watt/150watt bolb (being a energy light its a 75watt witch has a power of a 150watt bolb) i was woundering if i can get a nice grow out of it they seem to be doing good beeing 7days old so can someone answer this plz thx in advance.

Hey, are you sure thats a fluorescent light? I have an 85W fluoro which is equivalent to a 400W incandescent... (don't use incandescents for plants)

Hey Whitetop,
I have grown indoors with 3 CFL's before, it was a sativa plant, and it became to tall too light in the end. The buds were very thin and feathery, not much yield. The main problem with CFL's is when the plant is flowering it needs higher red spectrum light. Blue light, which CFL's give off is excellent for seedling and vegetive stage. It will help to develop root systems. One light won't work very well for 2 plants once they get petty established. It may work until you can get more, and reflecting light of a flat white surface is your best bet. Did the last plants stretch out a lot before they died? There are specific CFL bulbs that emit red spectrum you may want to look into

go look for The Green Fog's grow journals. He got very nice product out of his CFL grow.
