It's similar to hash. It has a high concentration of THC... and it will fuck you up. Or you can roll it in a ball, and sell it for some money. The better the bud you smoked in your pipe, the better the resin.

Its not a very nice smoke and the high feels similar to that of soap bar, slight head change that lasts about 20 minutes, not really worth it in my opinion but hey, each to his own.

From reading the above, I can deduce that cannabis resin holds, typically, less than 5% THC...

Of course, oil from a pipe is slightly different...
