hey dude vermiculite and perlite both RETAIN water,especially the vermiculite,i like to use aquatic gravel instead with perlite and soil,lets the water run through easier so can water every couple of days and being aquatic it aint sharp and doesn't damage roots

by the way,that's some killer looking green you got there,always tastes and looks better when you've grown it yourself
