    Vital Remains/Deicide

Best death metal bands evar? Definitely. Especially Vital Remains. They are like a more epic and melodic version of Deicide. Worth checking out if your into death metal.

ha-ha my sister runs a metal promotion company and they had deicide and vital remains last year on easter. It was badass.

What were the vital remains albums before Dechristianize like though? Oh and those two albums deicide released in the early 00's I heard were horrible and too groovy/hardcore tough-guy styled.

Vital Remains is indeed epic... I have the Dechristianize album, very brutal and melodic.

Before Dechristianize was a less epic sounding sound, but is still INCREDIBLY good. In my opinion though, Icons of Evil and Dechristianize are the 2 best CD's. I'm gonna download all the Deicide CD's soon though. All I have is Legion and Once Upon the Cross.

Also try Morbid Angel if you have not already, they are a pretty good DM band considering they were one of the earliest in the scene.

Stay away from Insineratehymn. It's basically Pantera with a death metal influence (too many slow groove parts and the lyrics are bad even for deicide standards.) and stay away from in torment in hell. Horrible production and too rushed songwriting (even more repetitive then Insineratehymn).

I love Morbid Angel. Don't have many songs by them, but they are still very good. I was going to download Insineratehymn, just to check it out but I've heard really bad things about it. I'll download a song from it just to check it out.

And Bodom, whats wrong with Benton?

plus the whole im gunna commit suicide blah blah blah just like christ blah blah blah.

the hoffman brothers made deicide to me, not glen. i use to think glen was cool and all but no hes just a southern hick that likes to shock. no merit
