The Story.
So as I've stated in other areas that I'm new here and don't smoke anymore, but love to grow all kinds of plants....especially the funny ones:greenthumb: Well I used to smoke in my parents backyard alot with my buds and thousands of seeds have been thrown back there from breaking up our bags, but not in at least a 3 years. Well I got a new dog that was being mistreated before and living in a car and decided to ask my parents if they wanted her until I find her a home and I walked back there to feed her one day and this plant catches my eye over in a shady area of the yard, and the whole time I'm about 7 feet away and I'm slowly walking to it thinking, "NO WAAAAY". As I get closer, I see it is a freaking female bud plant just chillin in my backyard , and I wouldn't have been so excited cuz I've found sprouts everywhere me and my buds have smoked frequently at in the past...but it's been years since then and this is no sprout, it's about a foot tall with a nice stalk and it has 6 main tops that appear to be just now flowering, there are little calyxes and white hairs beautifully placed on the tops, then I notice that the main stalk up top is snapped in half and there is part of the plant hanging down to the side already past the point of surviving as a clone.:sadcrying When I held the dead part up as it would've been before, it was actually about 9 inches taller than it is now and would've had many more bud sites if the dog hadn't trampled that part of it or whatever happened to it. So anyways, I am now taking care of it and need some help with the flowering area of growing. Heres the details, I have an apartment and don't want to grow there, My parents are cool with me keeping it in the backyard and taking care of it there, but indoor growroom is outta the question for me. So I am new at growing, this is the first plant I've had that started budding, but heres what I've done so far and the details....

-I have no idea what strain it is, but it can't be any better than mids as no one is going to throw away good seeds from some chronic, so I don't expect high quality, but I am trying to make it the best it can be with my resources.
-I carefully transplanted it into good soil in a large pot when I found it 5 weeks ago.
-It is in direct sunlight now and I am living in southern Texas so it gets plenty of sun.
-I am using Jobes drip feeder for flowering plants that you just stick in the dirt and it feeds for up 15 days.
-All new growth is beautiful and everything healthy besides the problems it did have before I took care of it.
-It is growing strong, but the buds aren't getting very large. This is where my questions come in. It has been flowering for at least 4 and a half weeks to 5 weeks, but if I took all the buds now I would only get about 5-7 grams Why are they so small after flowering for so long? I don't exactly know about outdoor growing and with no way of knowing exactly how old it is or what strain it is, I don't know when to start the drying process. I am in no rush at all...what if I kept them growin for 2 more months outside...what would happen to the buds? Would they get bigger and more potent? Or is there a point where the buds would just die? Please help anyone with any advice, cuz I just love my little girl and I want her to be the best that she can be for my friends to smoke.

I will post pics as soon as i find my damn camera. Thanks and I hope to contribute as much as I get back from here.
