The test in the Garden of Eden myth, was not a fair test
The test in the Garden of Eden myth, was not a fair test considering it requires the knowledge of good and evil to not do something evil, yet this is what eating the fruit was supposed to give to the couple.
(Gen 2:25 NRSV) And the man and his wife were both naked, and were not ashamed.
(After eating the forbidden fruit)
(Gen 3:10-11 NRSV) (Adam) He said, "I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself."
(God) "Who told you that you were naked?
Not knowing good from evil (Gen 3:5), they did something evil so God punished them...

It was not a test. God said don't eat from that tree. They disobeyed... There is no test... it is strictly disobeying.

You're both right. It's not a fair test or any sort of test in the scientific sense, more a test of will, i.e. would God's creations have the ability to think on their own, make their own decisions about eating from the tree of knowledge.

It was not a test, God is all knowing... he knew if he put the tree there they would eat from it, its God for heaven sake. Maybe it was God's master plan for things to go down like this. Something I will ask him when I get there. Along with why he made it to where people have to feel pain, take shits and all the other stuff people thing is totally unneccessary and wonder why God would make that happen.

Things like feel pain and have shits are basic biological needs, we couldn't live without them. If he knew they would eat from it, why didn't he save himself the aggro and just make Adam and Eve conscious of right or wrong? Creationism- what a joke.
