God damn stupid fucking doctor that tells me he will research medical marijuana and Crohn's, then has the nerve to tell me, "I haven't read anything that says marijuana can help Crohn's", meanwhile he keeps talking about how he has never heard of anybody prescribing marijuana. You stupid mother fucker that is because YOU DON'T PRESCRIBE IT, you just write a god damn recommendation and I leave on my happy way and get the medicine on my own. You have the nerve to tell me you haven't read anything that states marijuana can help Crohn's, but yet you obviously haven't read a god damn thing because you haven't even read prop 215 you stupid fucking moron! Then you tell me I have to provide you with the scientific data showing it helps? FUCK YOU, WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO DO YOUR FUCKING HOMEWORK?? HOW ABOUT YOU TAKE ONE GOD DAMN DAY OFF THE FUCKING GOLF COARSE AND DO YOUR OWN FUCKING RESEARCH "DOCTOR"?

uggh, sorry bout that, I just really needed to get this off my chest. So yea, my doctor didn't do any research about medical marijuana and Crohn's as he said he would the previous time I saw him, which is fucking bullshit, then he tells me I should send him the scientific data? Alright doc, I will do just that and prove how fucking useless you are!! I can't wait until he reads this website I will print out, along with a long list of printouts from personal messages I have received when doing my short research on how marijuana helps Crohn's patients.

Now because this asshole made me take time off work to visit him on a doctor visit that I had to reschedule after he canceled my original appointment, I have to pay for this wasted visit, AND I have to pay to see a doctor that actually gives a shit about my medical needs.

I Too am goin through the same shit as yorself. No diagnosis as yet but same symptoms. One thing ive found that helps is zinc. DOnt take a whole tab at once but half or less with a meal. Also they have done a small trial with naltrexone (google it)it seems it might be promising Im gonna ask my dock about it.

Ive searched all over the net and havn't found any actual trial results with MJ and Crohns. SO im a bit skeptical. I think food might play the biggest role but IM fuct if i know what i should and shouldnt eat.

Anyone used MJ for chron's and found it put em in remission?

You haven't been diagnosed with Crohn's? You really should get a GI doctor to check you out to know exactly what you have, it might/might not be Crohn's, plus you will want them to do tests and X-rays to make sure you aren't anemic, or have blockage, etc. I made this post the night after my doc gave me a lame excuse for not supporting medical marijuana, which I expected, but I didn't expect the lack of research on his part which is what really pissed me off.

But my doc is just a bad doctor, there are good GI doctors out there and I will be changing for my next visit. Don't take the good news of MJ with something like Crohn's and completely write off the expertise of a doctor, you never should replace marijuana with a doctor!

I have only experimented temporary with marijuana, and while I can honestly say it seemed to work better than any pharmaceutical drug with low side effects, I haven't used long enough to really call myself a great test rat.

However, I have found these links which I think are definitely worth reading through, the first one comes from a website that lets people rate how well their medications work compared with their side effects. This link is specific to Crohn's patients using marijuana, and only 1 person had anything negative to say, and in my opinion he seems mostly afraid of the legal issue and probably didn't do a good enough test (such as trying different/better quality strains). In my own personal test I found the first strain I got did little to help me, but the next batch was like a wonder drug.

What an arrogant and ignorant SOB. This makes me angry. There is a whole lot of info out there. We are the enlightened ones here and we must educate the masses folks. Don't hesitate to do as Storm Crow did and give them print-outs.

I have over 200 pages of reports, abstracts and articles (and most are 1 pagers) on the medical benefits of cannabis. So get those printers running and give your doctors an education!

If you are afraid of your doctor, slip them in a manila envelope and mail them with a fake address. But unless WE educate our doctors, how will they ever learn?-

Thank's for the links Storm Crow! I've been typing Crohn's and Marijuana in my google searches so I missed those hehe. I thought about bringing some studies to my doctor, but in all honesty I figured he would say no either way. But I at least thought he would do as he promised, which was research it and let me know what he thought, but he didn't do any research, I still think it's funny that he didn't even read Prop 215. I mean what is the job of a doctor? I thought a good majority of it was constantly staying on top of the latest news and treatments in the field you work in, but if he hasn't been doing that what has he been doing?

Anyway, I don't recommend anybody ditch their doctor simply because they don't support medical marijuana, but if they won't at least give it some worthy research and be trustworthy, then you need a new one! Especially if your doctor is going to put you on a date-rape like drug and stick a fiber optic camera up your ass, you really want to trust that guy lol
