i also noticed that when i try and do this to the side of the socket, it doesnt happen, it just makes the metal sweat. but when i do it in the socket, i guess the heat and butane collects too much and creates the whipable smoke? what flame can i put on it that doesnt make it turn black? im also guessing that then when i turn it over and just use it as a bowl, it wont create the black smoke because the flame wont be so close to it, and it wont be upside down to accumulate the butane and heat?
