Lowryder 2 - 2nd Grow

Hi all,

I just wanted to share my 2nd Lowryder 2 grow started on 5/1. After soaking seeds for about 12 hours, I sowed them straight to Supersoil with a Supersoil/Perlite layer below. Less than 2 full days and 3 out of 5 have broken surface!

I'll try to keep logging as I go. I'll be using the same setup as my first LR2 grow...

Before I get too far, I'd like to give thanks for everyone's input on this site over the last year or so. I've gotten 3 grows under my belt (mostly) all because of this site. I'm obviously excluding many many good people but I'd like to acknowledge LIP, Orangeman, StinkyAttic, Zandor, The Image Reaper a.k.a Roadcam a.k.a. FreewheelinFrank, Garden Knowm, Busteruk7, KindPrincess, and the list goes on. For many of you, I'm a "long time reader, first time caller!" Wow, I feel like I just accepted an award! All right, now that we're all feeling good, let's grow!

Like always, I get one that wants to take the seed casing with it...It's really tough to wait for the seed shell to drop, but last time it finally did and caught up and surpassed the other plants and went on to become a strong male. Still, I can't resist the urge to take tweezers to it. I won't, though.

The Fino Verde variety will pop in 2 days, too! Mmmm....pesto. Maybe...potsto?

Another popped today. Removed plastic bag. Now only 1 out of 5 to go. I fear and loathe in Las Vegas that it might be a dud!

I couldn't resist. I carefully tweezed the seed casing away. One of them has sprung with a wilted cotyledon. I think it will pull through.

First deep watering (Switched from spritzing). Watered slowly until water dripped out the bottom of cups. One has stretched considerably. Could be extra heat or it was too far from the light...maybe thirsty too? It is now really close, almost touching the glass to the light. Will monitor closely. I've burned plants before getting too close.

Still holding out hope for the straggler, but come Tuesday (1 week), I will consider partial herb abortion.

i planted 5 lowryder2 beens 2 weeks ago 4 looking good 1 never sprouted (not good picture took with webcam photo taken 3 days ago)starting to come on really well over the last couple of days, had same problem with the seed caseing on 2 of mine but done same as you, will be following your progress loose id best of luck bro:thumbsup:

Looking forward to seeing these babies grow!

I have some bag seed I'm just about to germ and a grow cab that's about 90% complete. I'd like to try my hand at the short bus midgets in the future.

I replied to your previous grow log before I realized how out of date it was, my bad.

Thanks guys...I'll try to make daily updates.

Dizzy...I'll check my other log...I'm wrapping it up soon. Still plucking seeds off a plant that's 72 days old. I still haven't smoked lowryder 2, so I hope I don't hate it and regret starting another one!

A little more growth on the single bladed leaves today. They look like birds! And, here's my harvest from my 1st lowryder 2 grow, heavily seeded, drying now. Don't know weight yet.
