You don't have the right to shoot people on your lawn. You can only shoot at someone when they are a direct threat to you. You do not have the right to use deadly force to protect your property. It's called the castle docrine law. That means you can't shoot someone who is running away or outside even if they do have property of yours. If you own a firearm, then you should be a responsible person. You know you can still be locked up for breaking a law you didn't know about.
