Dilution Method timeframe question...
Ok, i looked around and haven't found any similar questions, but its a lot to dig through so forgive me if this has been covered. With most of the guides that i have seen, they refer to the dilution method as something to do right before a test. Ex.) Smoke smoke smoke, Find out you have drug test, pop pills and drink water. My question is what if you do ==> Smoke, water water pills, smoke water water pills, etc. in other words constantly drink water and take viatimins whether you have a test or not. Will this help to work the detectable chemicals out of your system, or does the dilution method just have an instant effect on your urine that allows it to temporarily pass?

Dilution Method timeframe question...
Please correct me if I'm wrong experts, but the consensus on this forum seems to be that it's fairly pointless to drink excessive amounts of water in the days leading up to the test. Drinking water does almost nothing to get chemicals out of your system, contrary to popular opinion. Also, drinking TOO much water can be dangerous and rather unpleasant.
The only argument I can think of to increase your water intake in the weeks leading up to a test is that water, like exercise, increases your metabolism. Increasing your metabolism means that you'll be metabolizing more fat (and hence getting rid of some of that yummy THC stored in your fat calls at a slightly more rapid rate). Plus, drinking 8 glasses a day is good for all of us whether there is a test coming up or not. However, this argument only really makes sense if your test is far enough in the future that burning fat is going to an appreciable impact on your body fat percentage - and hence THC levels.
The opposite would be true if your test is just around the corner. Anything you do to increase your metabolism (like exercise and over-doing it with the water) in the week or so before your test could make you MORE likely to fail the test because you're getting that stored THC into your system again. So, in the days leading up to the test, sit on your ass and eat some fat and protein (but avoid salt).
Don't bother with the dilution until the morning of your test, then drink drink drink (I defer to the magnificent stickied thread on dilution for specifics on this).
Good luck!
