Temperature help

Hey peeps,
So im about a week into my first grow, pushign two weeks. We just recieved our 150w hps and we're setting up shop in a small closet. The problem im having is that the temperature at the site of hte plants is staying at around 80 degrees with the door jar'd and the light 3.5' away from the plants!

I do have a fan blowing,
But it would be nice to bring the light closer to these seedlings. Since we took them off the 6500k daylight bulb and put them under the hps, they havn't really grown at all.

I fear this is because of hte temperature.

Currently we have 2 2L bottles frozen under the fan to act as some air conditioning but i still can't get this badboy below 80.

plus, if we shut the door completely it rises up to about 90. I know this is bad.

does anybody have any advice for this, shy of cuting some vent holes...which is becoming more and more a posibility (i just don thave tools)

I'll provide some pics soon, id like to get some feedback on how they look too!

you will be fine with temps at 80 just not much more... 93 and growth pretty much stops
