How can I skip work?

That's all I had to do, I mean I had some legitimate business to take care off earlier, but chillin' out for the rest of the day, ahhh Most employers wouldn't mind.

Here's what you do. Get a jar of spaghetti sauce. Call them up, and tell them you have wicked bad diarrhea as you pour the spaghetti sauce into the toilet. They're going to be so grossed out that asking you to come in is going to be the last thing on their mind.

Switch shifts but if you can't go you can't go. Think about it this way if you go you miss work and fall into the negative stereotypes about tokers. Anyway I'm all for any decisions you make.

go to work, next time don't tell them beforehand just call in sick. Don't use a sickie if the know you want that day off, it's begging for trouble.

Step 1: Wake up early
Step 2: Find a Belt
Step 3: Find a Meat Cleaver
Step 4: Wrap Belt around wrist tightly just in case you pass out during step 5
Step 5: Cut off a finger
Step 6: Call work and tell them you cut your finger off making breakfast
Step 7: Go to hospital and get it sewed back on
Step 8: Enjoy you day off!

Seriously!? What kind of newb are you? People often get sick randomly at night, you can call in early Saturday morning and tell them it hit you last night, and that you will be taking the day off so that you can make it in by monday. As far as your parents go, tell them that you made a deal with a buddy at work to switch shifts for this Saturday because you and a couple friends wanted to go on "nature hike". It's your life and your allowed to call a day off every now and then. That should solve all problems.:rasta:

I COULD go to the GMM. I could be surrounded by people who frown upon me because I look like I'm 15 (even though I'm 18). I could get high surrounded by cops. I could come home partly blazed to my parents who are just looking for a reason to send me back to rehab. I could skip work even though everyone would know I was skipping. I could get extremely paranoid...

I've got a better idea. I bought a nice 20 sack, and I'm just gonna blaze in the comfort of my own home at night, watch some downloaded TV shows, and munch on some Sun Chips.

Next year, I'll book the day off early, and I'll go to the GMM. Maybe I'll even help organize it, I love this kind of activist stuff. Hopefully there will be another one next year.
