Asking law enforcement agents views on cannabis
I just registered posted on various law enforcement forums and message boards and plan on asking their simple views on cannabis, it's legality, and punishments for possession.. anything else I should ask or bring up??

YES, please dont do that.
To be honest tho, a lotta their answers will probably BS. Total BS.
I mean their answers will probably all by the book, while in real life their like "screw the book!"

Yeah, im being real careful not to give them any info regarding cannabis.com, or any of my views on it at all..
Also I asked them to PM me with their responses rather than just post it up if that makes any difference as to whether they'll BS me or not.

All the cops I know feel that cannabis laws--except possibly for large-scale distribution/possession--are silly. They know compared to most other illicit substances it's harmless and don't think they should be asked to waste their time on it. They worry a lot more about drunk driving, for instance. But they still have to enforce the laws as long as they're on the books. I never have gotten why there's such strong antipathy toward cops regarding cannabis. Sure, they're doing an unpopular job, but it's just their job. It's the lawmakers we ought to be angry with.
