419 Nigerian Scam Fun!
yes it is. i posted some ads on a few different sites here awhile back to sell my truck. you wouldn't believe how many of those bastards emailed me with shit saying "i am from the UK, i would like to purchase your "merchandise". they wanted to send me a check, and have their personal "shipping company" come and pick it up. not only that, but most of them were offering about a thousand bucks more than what i was asking. i scared the piss out of one of the guys, who i had engaged in a little game of email tag. this can be a really fun thing, when you turn it back around on em.

Yeah, I was actually scammed by the guy from Lagos Nigeria, I filed a claim with the international internet fraud agency (forgot the actual name) and included all the e-mails that were sent back and forth, the address he supplied me with, and the alias he used on me.. glad he got brought to justice

Someone tried to get me with this bit way back in the 90s and I came close to falling for it. If I would have had money, then I may have sent it. I kept trying to get them to buy me a plane ticket and I'd come over there and 'sort it out' with the bank. I would send them email after email trying to get that ticket, but no dice. They wanted nothing to do with my broke ass.
