Well lets not go crazy. Cannabis, like pretty much any smoked plant, still delivers plenty of tar and carcinogens, with a small amount of toxic chemicals such as cyanide. Just because it doesn't cause cancer (or least have a propensity for such) doesn't mean it won't cause other lung problems (bronchitis, emphazema) simply by clogging them up with tar. I've personally had chronic coughs and chest irritation from smoking too much, and have one friend who has the beginnings of bronchitis from smoking it the past 3 years.

Simple fact is, you can smoke magical healing pixie dust and it's still going to hurt your lungs, just because you're inhaling smoke.
