Finally - "How to Be Good at Being Stoned' is released!!

I think it's okay for new stoners in theory, but it's not something I would buy-I have a lot of fun coming up with my own ways to have fun whilst stoned, and your first post (despite how 'wasted' you are, seems surprisingly well-typed) seems like an advertisement directed at the target audience. I'm not much for guides how to act. I'm all me. Maybe think of a better advertisement?

Again, it seems to ME that you're trying to tell me what I would enjoy, perhaps that I need to 'better' my stoned time by acting a certain way. Don't everyone go yelling at me, saying I'm making assumptions, because by the TITLE, it would only be rational to infer this book is a guide to favorable behavior while stoned- and I don't like those kind of books.

I'm not gonna buy it, but congrats on publishing, though, and good luck :thumbsup:

This is a pretty cool day for me and I hope you don't mind me posting about the below. I am soooo wasted I can hardly see:) My book finally went on sale online. The book is "How to be good at being stoned" not "how to act when high".
Who knows, some people might just want to get better at getting stoned! Plus it wouldnt be published if it was useless.

I am assuming this book is not prmoting guidlines on how to smoke pot. I believe it is exploring different stratergies of smoking/consuming cannabis. Also containing personal stories for the amusement of the readers, even factual stories, idea's, dreams and the make it into reallity. Maybe the reason they named the book so, was that the layout of the actual content made the idea of the term 'How to' to be used.

Don't take book titles litterally.

getitng high is all about doing your own thing, whatever spur of the moment that makes u happy.....all the time i find myself saying "ooo boy i wanan try that high" or i make a list of things to do while im high, but i never end up doing them because things come up...i dont need a book to tell me how to get the most out of my high, i just roll with it

Actually, you could well be right. We pondered over names for months, looking for a title that summed up what it was all about - we may well have gotten it wrong. 'How to Enjoy Being Stoned More' would be just as accurate, (except of course that's bad grammar It's a real quandry, but luckily it's not affecting sales or that we can tell. Could be worth a name change though if you do feel like this...

I agree that everyone should do their own thing when getting high, we all have things we like to do, and we know ourselves best. But that isn't to say that even regular tokers don't make simple mistakes which can spoil the high, or they couldn't benefit from things that would increase the depth of high, or stop them having Green Outs, etc.

A book called 'Play Better Golf' for example isn't accusing people of not being able to play already, it's just offering advice on how they MIGHT up their game.

No 'sneaking', I thought I was pretty blatant about it. I am very proud to have it on the market and wanted to shout it's release from the rooftops. I made no attempt to hide the fact that I want people to know about it, I really, sincerely feel that it is of use to every smoker.

PS - I type well stoned The book was written almost entirely whilst I was ripped, I have had a lot of practice

yeah really, I dont want a book. I enjoy McGyver-ing my way around....well not anymore...ive been smoking for about 6-7 years but still...I like experimenting :thumbsup: But im sure its a kick ass book, good luck with that hun

Sorry, I'm not sure of the best way to do this, but I've got a PDF here that contains the book's front cover, the introduction, and one short later chapter. Some of the things in it may not make sense, as it is taken out of context, but at least it'll give you an idea of what at least some of it is about.

I really do understand that it may not change anyone's mind about whether or not they want the book itself, I'd just like to use this to show what kind of a book it is.

The earlier chapters are about stopping having Green Outs and bad highs - the one I'd like to make available is more about the kinds of things you can try. It will not be easy for anyone to do any of this without knowing what's gone before, so don't worry if you can't do it.

So, without making this into an advert, or breaking any rules, how can I let anybody who wants to see it have it easily as possible here on CC?
